Drawing Tools
The Charts Workspace includes 132 drawing tools in eight flyouts. Every tool uses the same placement, selection, editing, and object-management workflow.
Place and edit any drawing
- Choose a tool from the drawing toolbar.
- Click or tap its anchor points on the chart. Patterns need several anchors; labels and markers may need only one.
- Select the finished drawing to open its settings and actions.
From the selected drawing you can change color, width, line style, text, exact anchors, levels, extensions, and tool-specific options. You can also lock, hide, duplicate, move forward or backward, or delete it.
Use Magnet when an anchor should snap to a nearby open, high, low, or close. The Objects tab lists every drawing on the current chart and provides show, hide, jump-to, and bulk actions. Undo and redo cover placement and editing mistakes.
Work faster
- Your last style and tool-specific options become the default for the next drawing of that type. Use Reset defaults to return to the product preset.
- Copy and paste a selected drawing, then use the arrow keys for small position changes.
- Turn on continuous draw mode when placing the same tool repeatedly.
- Star frequently used tools so they appear in Favorites.
- Lock finished work before panning or editing nearby drawings.
- Save the chart layout when the drawings should be available again later.
Free plans can keep up to 10 drawings per chart. Basic and Pro are unlimited.

The flyout is the source of truth for every available tool and its plan badge. Specialist guides focus on choosing and using each group:
- Gann Modules for the Gann drawing group and wheel calculators.

Common workflows
Mark price structure
Start with a horizontal line at a level the market has already respected. Add a trend line or channel only if it clarifies the active move. Use a Fib Retracement after selecting a completed swing, then look for agreement with existing price structure rather than treating every displayed level as equally important.
Plan a trade
Use Long Position or Short Position to place entry, target, and invalidation levels on the chart. Adjust the anchors until the displayed risk and reward match the plan. Keep the drawing as a visual record; it does not place an order.
Work with Gann price and time
Anchor Gann tools to a meaningful high, low, or completed range. The Time/Price Ratio control in the Charts Workspace can lock the chart geometry so angles keep the same screen slope while zooming. Use automatic scale first, then switch to manual only when you need a specific scale across charts.
The Gann range marker measures one move and repeats its price and time references forward or backward. The Gann Overlay combines common fan, level, and time layers in one object. Treat projected dates and levels as areas to review, not guaranteed turns.
Mobile drawing
On a mobile or touch layout, tap Draw to open the full drawing sheet. Choose a tool, close the sheet, and tap the chart to place each anchor. Select a finished object to edit it. The Objects tab and favorites remain available, so mobile drawings use the same saved workspace as desktop.
