Extremes Suite
The Pro Extremes Suite combines three indicators and three drawings to spot stretched conditions, confirm a turn, and map volatility-aware targets.
Where to find it
In Dashboard → Charts, open Indicators → Extremes for the indicators. The drawings are under Forecasting → Extremes in the left toolbar.
Indicators
Exhaustion Bands
Measures how extended buying or selling has become and adapts its upper and lower zones to the symbol's recent history. Use it to identify a condition worth watching—not as an automatic reversal signal.
Exhaustion Triggers
Marks graded snap-back events after an extreme. Choose long, short, or both sides, and optionally require the broader trend filter. Stronger grades mean more conditions aligned; they do not guarantee a larger move.
ATR Swings
Builds a swing line that only reverses after price moves by a chosen multiple of Average True Range. The final dashed leg is still forming; completed legs are confirmed.
Drawing tools
- Thrust Barriers — anchor a strong move and project volatility-aware reaction barriers.
- Time Ripples — repeat the spacing between selected pivots to mark future timing checkpoints.
- Turn Windows — place a time window where several cycle measurements suggest a turn is worth watching.
Each drawing can be restyled, duplicated, locked, hidden, reordered, and saved as the default for the next drawing of the same type.
Suggested workflow
- Use Exhaustion Bands to identify a stretched condition.
- Wait for an Exhaustion Trigger or a confirmed ATR Swing instead of anticipating the turn.
- Add Thrust Barriers for price objectives and Time Ripples or Turn Windows for timing context.
- Define invalidation from price structure before entering a trade.
Important settings
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Lookback / band window | Controls how much history defines an extreme. |
| ATR period and multiplier | Controls how much movement is required to confirm a swing. |
| Side | Shows long setups, short setups, or both. |
| Trend filter | Removes triggers that oppose the selected long-term trend. |
Markets can remain overbought or oversold for longer than expected. Treat exhaustion as context and wait for confirmation; never use an extreme reading as a standalone trade instruction.
Plan access
All six Extremes tools are included with Pro.
