Smart Flow
Smart Flow brings unusual options activity and dark-pool context into one view. It helps you decide what deserves a closer look; it does not tell you what to trade.
Overview
Smart Flow scans a watchlist of liquid stocks for unusual options activity, then scores each contract against two further reads:
- The symbol's tape—does the wider dte-weighted options flow in that name agree with this contract's direction?
- Dark-pool context—do the reported off-exchange trades lean the same way?
The Alignment Score summarizes whether those views agree. A high score means the context lines up; it does not measure the probability of profit.
Page Layout
Smart Flow uses a split-view layout:
- Left pane (8 columns): Unusual options table with scored contracts
- Right rail (4 columns): Dark Pool summary for the selected symbol
Click any row in the options table to update the right rail with that symbol's data.
Hero Stats
Five stats at the top of the page:

| Aligned Premium | Total dollar premium from contracts marked as aligned |
| Total Premium | Sum of all unusual options premium |
| Call Premium | Total call option premium |
| Put Premium | Total put option premium |
| Sentiment | Whether the listed activity leans toward calls or puts, with extra attention to nearer expirations |
Unusual Options Table
Each contract in the table shows:

| Contract | Strike, expiration, call/put, with OPENING and moneyness (ITM/ATM/OTM) tags |
| Premium | Estimated dollar value represented by the listed activity |
| Vol/OI | A quick read of how unusual today's activity is compared with existing positions |
| IV | Implied volatility |
| Align | Alignment score pill (0–100, color-coded) |
Alignment Score Colors
| Range | Meaning | Color |

| 85–100 | Strong alignment (often dual-aligned) | Dark emerald with sparkle icon |
| 65–84 | Aligned (the symbol's tape agrees with the contract's side) | Emerald |
| 36–64 | Neutral (neither read is strongly directional) | Gray |
| 0–35 | Contradicting (the tape or dark pool disagrees) | Rose |
Sort Modes
- Aligned (default) — highest alignment score first
- Smart—contracts with the strongest unusual-activity context first
Tags
- OPENING—activity appears more consistent with new positioning than a close-out
- ITM / ATM / OTM — moneyness relative to current spot price
Dark Pool Rail (Right Panel)
The Dark Pool tab shows a compact institutional flow summary for the selected symbol — the same data available on the full Dark Pool page, presented in a condensed format.
Signal Sage (AI Assistant)
Signal Sage is the AI chat assistant built into the Smart Flow page. Ask it questions about what you're seeing — "what's the most aligned setup right now?", "explain this contract's tags" — and it answers using the live flow and dark-pool data on screen.
- Each question costs 1 Star (see Stars)
- Daily question limits by plan: 2 on Free, 5 on Basic, 20 on Pro
- Treat answers as analysis assistance, not trade instructions
Watchlist
Smart Flow scans a fixed watchlist of liquid stocks — names with active trading and usable options data.
Data Notes
- Options data is 15-minute delayed (daily aggregate, not tick-by-tick)
- Dark pool data is previous session (T-1) via Databento
- Auto-refreshes every 5 minutes
