Market Overview

Dashboard → Overview is a market monitor: an index tape across the top, a list picker, a sortable table, and a quick look at whatever you select — price, day and 52-week ranges, a 1D–5Y chart, and Open in Charts, watchlist and alert buttons.

Market boards for the wider market:

BoardWhat it shows
World Indices20 benchmark indices grouped by region, each with its exchange's local time and status (pre-market, open, lunch break, after-hours, closed). Exchange holidays outside the US aren't modelled.
Futures29 contracts — equity indices, energy, metals, rates, currencies, grains and softs, livestock and bitcoin — with the front contract's month.
Currencies14 major pairs and the dollar index, plus a Matrix display of cross rates between EUR, USD, JPY, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD and CNY.
Crypto14 large coins with 24-hour volume and market cap.
Sector PerformanceThe 11 S&P sector funds and SPY with 1-week, 1-month and year-to-date price returns (dividends excluded).

Every price on screen comes from one quote batch, so a row and the quick look never disagree, and a print from an earlier session shows its date instead of a change.

Localized company profiles

The company overview is automatically presented in your selected language: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese. Names, symbols, and financial figures stay unchanged; the descriptive profile is translated and cached so repeat visits load quickly. If a translation is unavailable, the original English profile is shown rather than inventing missing information.

Volatility — Basic

The symbol window's Volatility view sets what options are pricing beside what the stock has actually done.

  • Headline figures: IV30 (at-the-money implied volatility at a constant 30 days), HV20 and HV60 (realized volatility over 20 and 60 sessions), IV ÷ HV, where IV30 would rank among the lookback's 20-session realized readings, the 25Δ skew (put minus call near 30 days), the term slope (IV90 − IV30 — below zero the curve is inverted) and the nearest expiry's expected move.
  • Cone — realized volatility for windows from 10 to 260 sessions: the full range and middle half over the lookback, the median, today's reading, and at-the-money implied volatility by expiry on the same axis. Choose the Estimator (Close-to-close, Parkinson, Garman–Klass, Rogers–Satchell or Yang–Zhang) and a 1Y or 2Y Lookback.
  • Term — at-the-money and 25-delta put and call implied volatility against days to expiry.
  • Smile — one expiry's out-of-the-money quotes and fitted curve against moneyness, with the forward and the share price marked.
  • History — IV30 against 20-session realized volatility, one reading a session recorded near the close from live quotes. IV rank (where IV30 sits between its 52-week low and high, 0–100) and its percentile appear in the headline figures once 60 sessions are on record; until then the view shows how many it has.
  • The expiry table lists each sampled expiry's ATM and 25Δ IVs, skew, butterfly, at-the-money straddle and the moves it and one standard deviation imply. Pick a row (or step with [ and ]) for its forward, implied dividend yield, risk reversal and open interest in the inspector, where How it's computed spells out the method.

Implied volatility is solved from quote midpoints rather than read from the feed. Outside the session most contracts stop quoting: the view keeps the last session's build until the next open, and an expiry read from the last session's trades is marked last trades.

Strategy — Basic

The Strategy view (under Options in the symbol window) builds a multi-leg option position on the live chain and shows what it pays.

  • Presets — Long call, Long put, Covered call, Cash-secured put, Bull call spread, Bear put spread, Long straddle, Long strangle, Iron condor, Call butterfly and Calendar call spread, with strikes picked from the listed chain (an expiry 30–45 days out by default). Or Add leg by hand — up to 8 legs of calls, puts and shares — or use Add to strategy on any contract in the Options chain.
  • Payoff chart — profit or loss at expiry (solid) and on the scenario date (dashed), with breakevens, the share price and its one-standard-deviation range marked. The Date and IV shift sliders move the dashed line through time and volatility.
  • Figures — net debit or credit, maximum profit and loss (unbounded where it is), breakevens, net delta, theta and vega, and a Chance of profit — a model estimate from at-the-money implied volatility, not a forecast.
  • P&L by price and date — a grid of the position's value at a range of share prices on dates up to the first expiry.

Leg prices follow the market (quote midpoints, or the last session's trades outside it, marked as such) until you type your own. Save strategies by name; they're kept in this browser.

Financials — Free

The Financials view (under Fundamentals) lays out the company's statements by fiscal year or quarter.

  • Income · Balance sheet · Cash flow — revenue to EPS, assets to equity, operating cash flow to free cash flow, with the trailing twelve months (TTM) beside the annual figures and a change chip against the same period a year earlier. Pick a line to chart it.
  • Ratios — gross, operating, EBITDA, net and free-cash-flow margins, return on equity and assets, debt to equity, the current and payout ratios, growth, and valuation (P/E, price to sales, price to book, EV/EBITDA) at the live price.

Columns use the company's own fiscal names (FY2025, Q2 FY26). A dash means the company didn't report that line for the period — it is never treated as zero. Statements in another currency are converted to the listing's currency before valuation.

Earnings — Basic

The Earnings view puts a company's next report beside how the stock has reacted to the ones before it.

  • Next report — the date, whether it lands before the open (BMO), after the close (AMC) or during the session (DMH), and the consensus EPS and revenue. Within 45 days of the report, the Implied move is the at-the-money straddle on the first expiry after it as a share of the price, and Implied ÷ average compares it with the stock's own history.
  • Reaction, by report — each report's move from the close before it to the close after it, against the average band. Switch the measure to Gap (the reaction session's open) or 5-day (the drift through the five sessions after), and show 8, 12 or 20 reports.
  • The report table adds the EPS estimate, actual and surprise for recent quarters; Estimates & revisions shows the consensus for this and next quarter and year, how it moved over 90 days, and how many analysts revised it up or down.

Report dates come from companies' SEC 8-K results filings, so the history covers US filers; funds, indices and most companies listed abroad show no history.

Example: options price a ±4.8% move into a report for a stock whose last eight reports averaged ±2.6% — 1.9× its usual reaction. That's context for sizing a position into the event, not a forecast of the move.

Ownership — Free

The Ownership view (under Fundamentals in the symbol window) shows who holds the stock and what insiders have done with it.

  • Who owns it — the share held by institutions, their share of the float, the number of institutional holders, and insiders' combined stake.
  • Insider trades — open-market buys and sells over six months from Form 4 filings, with the net shares bought or sold. Awards, option exercises and gifts change holdings without a trade, so they are listed but kept out of the buy/sell figures.
  • Short interest — shares sold short and not yet covered at the latest settlement date, as a share of the float, days to cover and the change from the prior report. Daily off-exchange short volume is in the Dark Pool view (Pro).
  • Tables — the largest institutional holders (13F), the largest fund holders, and insider transactions (All / Buys / Sells), each sortable; pick a row for its details.

Holdings are reported after the fact — managers file 13F within 45 days of each quarter's end — and their value is shown at today's price. Institutional stakes can add up to more than 100%: a share lent to a short seller is counted by both its owner and the buyer. Funds and indices have no ownership filings, so the view says so.
