Market Scanner
Scanner turns the indicator library into repeatable market questions, then shows the reading behind every match so you can verify why a symbol appeared.
Build a scan
Open Dashboard → Scanner, choose a preset universe, and select Daily or Weekly. Pro users can scan their own watchlists. A scan contains up to 6 rules arranged in up to 3 groups:
- A group can require All its rules or Any rule.
- The root can require All groups or Any group.
- Groups are deliberately limited to one level. There is no hidden nesting to make a saved scan hard to audit.
For example, make Group 1 Breakout AND Relative volume, Group 2 Buy signal OR Beacon GO, then match ALL groups. Use a template when you want a sensible starting point rather than an empty builder.
Recipe library
Scanner provides 34 curated recipes. They are questions with stable semantics, not every raw chart plot.
| Family | Included recipes |
|---|---|
| Trend | Price vs MA, MA crossover, ADX, DI cross, SuperTrend, Ichimoku, near 52-week extreme |
| Momentum | RSI, MACD, Stochastic level and K/D cross, Stochastic RSI, MFI, CCI, Williams %R, ROC |
| Volatility & volume | Bollinger price, bar % move, relative volume, CMF, ATR expansion, prior Donchian breakout |
| Basic signals | TD13 completion, Buy/Sell, Beacon, Gann Square marker, astro event window |
| Pro research | Cycle Lines, Cycle Signal, Z-score, Fisher, Exhaustion trigger, Gartley confirmation, Rotation quadrant |
The astro recipe supports retrogrades, moon phases, ingresses, and aspects. Rotation uses the benchmark entered beside the timeframe. Donchian breakouts compare price with the prior channel boundary, which avoids look-ahead bias.
Understand results
Each rule reports one of three states:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Match | The rule is computable and true. |
| Not matched | The rule is computable and false. |
| Unavailable | The symbol lacks enough history or required context/data. It is not silently treated as false. |
The diagnostic cards show how many symbols reached each state. Result cells show the indicator reading, event age, or signal label. Click a column header to sort by that evidence. Scanner does not invent a composite score.
Use the chart button to open the symbol and append the mapped indicators after your saved layout loads. Review the highlighted evidence on the chart before treating a match as actionable.
Save and schedule
Basic users can save up to 5 scans; Pro users can save up to 20. A saved scan can run automatically:
- Save the scan, then choose Schedule.
- Enable automatic runs and optionally keep the email digest on. In-app notification is always included.
- The first run creates a baseline and sends nothing.
- Later runs send one digest containing only symbols that newly entered the results.
Daily schedules advance when a new completed daily data key is available. Weekly schedules evaluate the prior completed weekly bucket after the new week begins. Editing the scan or re-enabling its schedule resets the baseline, preventing old matches from being reported as new under changed logic.
Access and limits
Scanner itself, preset universes, core recipes, saved scans, and schedules require Basic. Custom watchlist universes and the Cycle, Statistical, Extremes, Harmonic, and Rotation recipes require Pro, matching their chart modules. Runs are capped at 60 symbols and support Daily and Weekly data in this release.
Scans are research filters, not trade instructions. Confirm liquidity, risk, news, and execution conditions before acting on a result.
See Charts Workspace to review a result or Indicators to choose the right rule family.
